The Tagoloan River and the Mangima River are two of the many rivers that carved the plateaus of Bukidnon, forming a wide network of canyons in the province. The Mangima Canyon and the Manolo Fortich Canyon are the two canyons viewable from the Manolo Fortich section of Sayre Highway. There are two main view decks installed by the Department of Public Works and Hiways (DPWH): the first is located in Barangay Mangima and another one at Sitio Angeles right at the border of Barangay Dilirig and Barangay Maluko. The one located at Sitio Angeles offers the most spectacular view of this majestic landscape.
The Sitio Angeles View Deck has clean cottages and the area is very well maintained. Travelers usually make a stopover at this view deck to have a quick break from their road trip. Visitors can simply sit, relax and enjoy the scenery. The area is also an ideal stop for meryenda.
How to get there: The Sitio Angeles View Deck is located along Sayre Highway at the border of Barangay Dilirig and Barangay Maluko, Municipality of Manolo Fortich. If you are south-bound heading the direction of Malaybalay City, the view deck is approximately 6 kilometers from the foot of the Mangima zigzag portion of Sayre Highway. It is the second view deck on the left side of the road after the Mangima View Deck. If you are traveling by car, you may park your vehicle along the highway. If you are traveling by bus, you can just get off the bus and catch the next bus that will pass by the view deck. How to get back: If you are traveling by bus, catch a Cagayan de Oro-bound bus on the side of the view deck to head back north. If you are heading back south, catch a Malaybalay/Valencia/Davao-bound bus on the side of the road across the view deck.
