DIPOLOG CITY, Zamboanga del Norte - If in Manila we have the
banana cue (fried saba banana coated with caramelized sugar), in Mindanao they have the
ginanggang. The saba bananas are pealed and grilled on stick over charcoal. When browned, the bananas are then brushed with margarine and sprinkled with sugar.

Dipolog Sunset Boulevard, near the
Santa Cruz Marker. For only Php5.00, you get two large-size ginanggang on a stick.
