Family Country Hotel in General Santos City
It was such a great news when we were informed that Family Country Hotel and Convention Center will sponsor our accommodation and will serve as our official residence in General Santos City for the 5-day SoCCSkSarGen Experience Tour 4.0 blogger event.
Family Country Hotel arranged a shuttle to transport us from the airport to the hotel. As we entered the hotel lobby, we were welcomed by a banner gladly receiving the participants of the event.
Edgar and I were assigned to a deluxe room on the ground floor. The room was big enough to accommodate 3-4 guests. It had a television unit with cable service and a mini refrigerator. The beds were very comfortable and bed sheets were fresh and clean. What we loved the most about our room was its bathroom. It had a reliable supply of hot and cold water. It also had a bidet, a very important yet very hard to find toilet fixture in Philippine hotels.
Family Country Hotel is strategically located in the middle of GenSan's major commercial establishments such as SM City GenSan, Gaisano Mall of GenSan, KCC Mall of GenSan and Robinsons Place GenSan. There are tricycles passing right in front of the hotel's gate making transportation around downtown very convenient. Standard fare is P10.00 per passenger.
To formally open this year's SoCCSkSarGen Experience Tour, Family Country Hotel hosted a dinner party on our first night set beside the hotel's 25-meter swimming pool. The hotel also treated as with daily complimentary breakfasts at their very own Café Leticia, with choices including daing na bangus, longganisa, pork tocino or sliced seasonal fruits.
We are very grateful for the hospitality of Family Country Hotel and very thankful to the hotel's manager, Ms. Gladys Golingan, and her very attending hotel staff.
