Christmas is one of the occasions when my barkada and I would meet up for a catch-up lunch or dinner. It is also an opportunity for us to plan for our annual brakada summer outing. This year, we decided to have a weekend Christmas staycation in Metro Manila so we can have more time to bond and enjoy extended hours of chikahan.
It is Christmas season and as expected, hotels would be on peak season rates. We called several hotels and most of the affordable ones were already fully booked. Ramil learned about the newly opened Tune Hotels branch in Quezon City and checked out the rates and room availability. At only P1,833.00 per night (which includes the room rate, cozy package and taxes), Tune Hotel Quezon City perfectly fits our budget.
Tune Hotel Quezon City |
Because of our outstanding experience at Tune Hotel Angeles City last September, I immediately recommended Tune Hotel Quezon City to my barkada. My barkada liked the clean and space-efficient design of the rooms. We also liked its central location along Timog Avenue because of its close vicinity to restaurants and cafes. Check out our awesome experience at Tune Hotel Quezon City.
Dinner at Primero Casa Filipino |
One of my friends was also celebrating her birthday that week. She treated us for a buffet dinner at Primero Casa Filipino located at the corner of Sct. Torillo Street and Sct. Fernandez Street. We then ordered a caramel cake at Estrel's located at the corner of Sct. Tobias Street and Sct. Fernandez Street.

After-Dinner Coffee at Highlands Coffee Timog |
My barkada enjoyed their first Vietnamese Coffee experience at Highlands Coffee. It was a great alternative to the usual Starbucks or Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Time flew by so quickly that it was already 3:00am when we left the cafe. It was indeed an evening that we all enjoyed. We walked back to the hotel and called it a night.

The area of Timog Avenue and Tomas Morato in Quezon City is indeed a great location to have a staycation, either with your family or friends. With the countless option of restaurants, cafes, spas and other entertainment establishments, plus the opening of the Tune Hotels Quezon City, staycation in QC should now be very affordable.
Tune Hotel Quezon City is located along Timog Avenue, near the corner of 11th Jamboree Street. Book your rooms now at www.tunehotels.com or call them at (02) 426-0567 for more details.
