Breakfast for Lunch or Lunch for Breakfast? It's late Sunday morning so why not have Breakfast and Lunch at the same time? That's exactly what we had at the Oakroom, Oakwood Premier's signature restaurant in Ortigas Center. The Jazzy Sunday Brunch at the Oakroom features an all-American selection of dishes prepared by Executive Chef Jerome Cartailler combined with live jazz music performances by Sonny & Sunshine.
The restaurant's elegant interior of earth tone colors and warm lights is a perfect setting for an intimate brunch with family and friends, enjoying casual conversations over great food and the relaxed vibe of jazz music playing at the background.
It was our first time to try a brunch buffet and at start, it might feel weird to see breakfast and lunch dishes displayed side-by-side on the buffet table. So if you feel like having breakfast for lunch, then there's Oakroom's freshly baked breads and pastries to start with.
There's also some of the popular breafast items that both parents and children love such as hotdogs, cheese sticks, pancakes, French toasts, and fried chicken.

But if you prefer to have lunch for breakfast, then the best place to start would be the salads and cold dishes section. I love salmon and their smoked salmon surely fixed my craving for this fish.

From the mains, the guests' favorite must be the Key West Seafood, the Oyster Rockefeller, the Barbecue Back Ribs and the Roasted Premium Ribeye.

Look at what I had on my plate, they are pretty much what I usually eat on buffets. My top favorites are the Oyster Rockefeller. The oysters are juicy and the melted cheese formed a crust which gives contrast to the silky texture of the oyster. The squids and shrimps in the Key West Seafood are perfectly cooked. They were easy on the bite and were moist and plump. The Creole Jambalaya Rice and the Barbecue Back Ribs are a perfect match.

The Mac & Cheese is also a favorite comfort food of mine, it's a feel good dish that I really enjoy. I finished off with the Roasted Premium Ribeye. The slices that I had were very tender and juicy, and full of flavor. It was perfectly paired with sparkling wine. Other notable dishes include the Crab Cakes, the Philly Cheesesteak, the Homestyle Meatloaf and the Leg of Ham.
And like all great meals, our Jazzy Sunday Brunch ended with desserts and more desserts. The best-sellers were the Apple Pie and the Pecan Pie. There are also a variety of cupcakes, pastries and donuts to choose from, which you can probably pair with a cup of coffee of your favorite espresso drink.
It was truly a brunch that we enjoyed. We did not only enjoy the food, but we also enjoyed the great company of other bloggers with whom we shared the table. Thank you so much Oakwood Premier Joy~Nostalg Center Manila for having us at your Jazy Sunday Brunch.
