Bohol Travel Fair | Visit Bohol 2015
2015 is an even more exciting year for tourism in the Philippines. Now that the world knows that It's More Fun in the Philippines, we can expect growth in the tourist arrival in the country in the coming months. Part of this growth is the Province of Bohol.
In line with the Visit the Philippines 2015 campaign of the Department of Tourism, Bohol also launched its Visit Bohol 2015 campaign late last year. This year, the province will be introducing new and exciting tourism destination and activities that will surely attract local and foreign visitors to the islands.
To support its Visit Bohol 2015 campaign, the provincial government is currently holding a 3-day travel fair to showcase Bohol's attractions and word-class resorts and facilities. With the support of the various local government units and the stakeholders of the local tourism sector, the Bohol Travel Fair aims to bring even more tourists into the country and into the province.
The travel fair also features the province's local delicacies and handicrafts. Not to be missed are everyone's favorite, the peanut kisses. Other food products include banana chips, tablea and salabat.
Fashion accessories such as bags made of natural materials are also on display to showcase the local craftsmanship of the Boholanos. Items on sale are of export quality, but are being sold at very affordable prices.
Joining in the travel fair are the resorts, hotels and tour operators of Bohol. One of the booths that we visited was that of Modala Leusire Villages. a new active lifestyle destination on the rise at the shore of Panglao Island which features a 68-room village with two levels of retail spaces housing restaurants and other international dining brands. Modala Leisure Villages is a project between Monorealty and Raintree Hospitality Group.
The Bohol Travel Fair runs from January 9-11, 2015, from 10:00am to 9:00pm at the Glorietta Activity Center, in Makati City. See poster below for more details.
