Campuestohan Highland Resort is a new leisure and travel destination near Bacolod City, Negros Occidental province which opened last May 2014. Situated in Barangay Cabatangan, Talisay City, Campuestohan Highland Resort is an amusement park resort that caters to guests of all ages. Covering an area of 5.5 hectares, Campuestohan features adventure rides other leisure activities, as well as a restaurant and a number of accommodation options for visitors who would choose to stay overnight at Campuestohan.
With an elevation of ~800++ meters above sea level (Tagaytay is at ~600++ meters) near the towering peak of Mt. Mandalagan, guests at Campuestohan will enjoy a cooler climate with an astonishing view of the plains of Negros Occidental with the Guimaras Strait at the background.
Day Trip visitors will have to pay an Entrance Fee of P150.00 per person which includes free use of the swimming pools and the playground. Overnight guests can choose among Campuestohan's accommodation options. Room rates already include breakfast, entrance fees and free use of the swimming pool and playground. Rides and activities are not yet included in the entrance fee.

The safety staff of Campuestohan will brief the riders about how the Cable Hamster Wheel works through a demonstration. After wearing the safety gear, the guests are then attached to the metal frame of the wheel with a harness for security. To move from one end of the 130 meters long cable to the other, the rider will have to gently walk inside the wheel.
A guest can ride the Cable Hamster Wheel for P100.00 per way. There are a total of four Cable Hamster Wheels lined parallel to each other. For more fun experience, a group of four friends can together ride the Cable Hamster Wheels
Another highlight of Campuestohan Highland Resort are the Skybikes. Campuestohan is currently the only one in the Philippines that has a four-lane skybike ride.
A bicycle is mounted to a pulley that is then suspended on a steel cable. Another steel cable supports the wheels of the bike. The riders are then required to wear the safety gears and are then attached to the pulley with a harness. Turning the pedals will make the skybike to move along the steel cable that supports it. Guests are required to be wearing rubber shoes before they are allowed to ride the skybike.
A guest can ride the Skybike for P100.00 per way. If you are riding alone, a safety staff can join you with another Skybike. A group of four guests can also ride the skybikes together.
Campuestohan Highland Resort also has a Zipline, perfect for the thrill seekers. The 320 meter zip line that stretches the entire resort will leave your throat sore after a minute of shouting.
The well trained staff will assist you in putting your harness and helmet. After a short briefing, riders are given clearance for launch. A guest can ride the zipline for P200.00 per way. Trainer shoes, rubber shoes or sneakers are required when riding the zipline.
Other fun activities in Capuestohan include the Rope Course. Strength, willpower and perseverance are needed to finish the entire 220 meters rope course with 21 obstacle courses raised 10 feet above the ground. Rubber shoes or trainer shoes are required.
Headgear and gloves are provided for guests. Safety harness will support you and will prevent you from falling. A safety officer will be guiding you throughout the rope course, constantly checking if you are still good to go. The Rope Course costs P200.00 per person.
There are also a number of leisure activities for the kids and those who are not into extreme adventures.
Guests can tour the resort through a 15 minute Horseback Riding (P150.00 per person).
Kids can enjoy a ride at the Grand Carousel (P30.00 per person) or at the Mini Train (P30.00 per person).
Free activities are available for day tour visitors and overnight guests. Kids can play with their friends at the two playgrounds inside the resort.
One playground is located at the lower part of the resort, while the other one is at the top of the resort.
Campuestohan Highland Resort also has two swimming pools that can be used by day tour visitors and overnight guests for free. Although the resort is on the highlands, the piercing sunlight will persuade you to take a dip in the pool. Make sure you apply sun block before swimming.
Near the first playground is the two (2) feet deep kiddie pool and next to it is a four (4) feet deep adult pool. Two lifeguards are on duty to watch for the safety of the guests.
The second four (4) feet deep pool is located near the top of the resort. Lifeguards are also stationed here. The pool is actually shaped to form a giant foot print, said to be that of King Kong.
Day tour visitors can rent one of the resort's cottages. The Umbrella Cottage can be rented for P500.00 per day and can accommodate 10 persons. The Small Cottage is at P600.00 per day and is good for 15 persons. For bigger groups, there's the Large Cottage at P1,000.00 per day and is good for 20 persons. Visitors can bring their own food and no corkage is charged.
The resort has a restaurant that serves classic Filipino and international dishes. The restaurant is located at the log cabin (see top-most photo). Overnight guests will also have their breakfast served at the restaurant.
Scattered around the resort are statues of cartoon characters and super heroes. In the middle stands a giant statue of Mickey Mouse and other famous Disney characters.
Favorite among the kids are the statues of the characters from the movie Kungfu Panda.
Marvel superheroes fans should definitely have their selfies with the life size replica of Superman, Spiderman, Batman, Ironman, Wonderwoman, Green Lantern, and The Hulk.
Dominating the whole resort is the giant statue of King Kong. Inside the statue is an air-conditioned bedroom that can accommodate up to six (6) persons. The King Kong Room costs P6,000.00 nett per night which includes free entrance fee and breakfast for six persons. The room is equipped with cable-ready TV and has a bathroom with hot & cold shower.
The Log Cabin (see top-most photo) houses seven non-airconditioned bedrooms of various sizes. Smaller rooms can fit three (3) persons with an overnight rate of P3,000.00 nett inclusive of entrance fees and breakfast for three persons. It can be maximized to fit six (6) persons. A medium size room can accommodate four (4) persons at P4,000.00 nett per night inclusive of entrance fees and breakfast for four persons. Larger rooms can house five (5) guests at P5,000.00 nett per night inclusive of entrance fees and breakfast for five persons.

How to Get to Campuestohan Highland Resort
Getting to Campuestohan is very easy! First, you should call their Bacolod Reservation Office (034-7020964 or 0915-2111406/0917-3005007) to book your day tour or overnight stay, at least three days before your visit. Cottages may also be booked through the reservation office.

Campuestohan has a Shuttle Service every weekend. They use a 30-seater air-conditions Sarao jeepney and round trip fare is it P100.00 per person. Pick-up point is at Villa Angela Arcade (beside Save More Supermarket), Circumferential Road, Bacolod City. The shuttle departs from Bacolod at 9:00am an will accommodate passengers on a first-come-first-served basis, so be sure to be early. The shuttle leaves Campuestohan at 4:00pm.
In case you miss the Shuttle Service, you can charter a van stationed at Villa Angela Arcade to drop you off at Campuestohan for P700.00 to P1,000.00 (7 to 10 persons respectively, or P100.00 per person). Just get the contact number of the van driver to schedule your pick-up at Campuestohan (same rate applies). Smaller groups of two to four persons can charter a taxi for P500.00 for drop-off, and another P500.00 for pick-up.
Bigger groups can rent Campuestohan's 15-seater Nissan Urvan for a round trip fee of P1,500.00 (day trip) or P2,000.00 (overnight).
If you have a private car, the Bacolod Reservation Office can help you navigate the route leading to Campuestohan. Make sure that you have your breaks checked and be ready for a steep climb and sharp curves all the way up to Campuestohan. The road is 90% paved and still under construction. Driving time takes 25-40 minutes.
