Hotel Veronica is a ten-room hotel located at the Pueblo de Panay township in Roxas City, Capiz province. The hotel features rooms with modern contemporary interiors with touches of luxury and accents of local capiznon handicrafts integrated into the overall theme.
We stayed at Hotel Veronica during a familiarization tour of Capiz organized by Las Islas Travel and Tours. We were booked in a Deluxe Room furnished with a queen bed, window bench and a long desk with chair. Our room had a furnishings and fixtures such as the bed-side table, lamp, mirror and headboard frames are made of capiz shells, adding a local touch into the room.
The room is equipped with an individually-controlled inverter-type air-conditioner. Other room amenities include a 24-inch LCD TV with cable channels and a water heater with complimentary bottled water and instant coffee. Free Wi-Fi Internet access was also available inside our room.
Our bed was very comfortable. The pillows and the linens smelled clean and fresh. Thanks to the quiet inverter-aircon, plus the fact that Hotel Veronica is located in a tranquil area in the city, we had a relaxing, long and calm sleep.
We also loved the ensuite bathroom because it was neat and spacious. The rain shower had strong water pressure and the water temperature was easy to regulate. The toilet was equipped with a bidet while the hair dryer was a welcome treat for my wife. In addition to the clean towels, toiletries such as shampoo, soap and dental kits were also provided.
Our overnight stay at Hotel Veronica included complimentary breakfast for two. Options include Americal-Continental breakfast and a variety of Filipino dishes such as beef tapa, bangus, tocino, longganisa and corned beef. Breakfast is served at Festa, the hotel's in-house restaurant.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Veronica. We loved the comfort matched with the modern conveniences of the room amenities. The small size of the hotel gave us a feeling of privacy while the uncrowded space added to the laid back yet intimate ambiance of the hotel.
