To celebrate this year's Mid-Autumn Festival, the Makati Shangri-La Manila created mooncakes in five different flavors: white lotus, red bean, mixed nuts, red lotus and the new signature flavor, black sesame. The mooncakes were carefully crafted by Shang Palace's in-house chefs using premium ingredients from Hong Kong to ensure authenticity and high quality.
We were able to sample all the five flavors during the launching event held at the grand lobby of the hotel. The mooncakes were presented to guests encased in beautiful boxes especially designed for Makati Shangri-La Manila.
Among the five flavors, our favorite was the black sesame. Mooncakes are available from August 20 to September 27, 2015. There's a boutique set up at the lobby where you can sample and buy the mooncakes. Mooncakes are also available at the Shang Palace. You can check the prices here.
