High Street Lounge is located at second level of the newly opened Shangri-La at the Fort in Bonifacio Global City. It offers a wide selection of beverages, light snacks and pastries, with focus on afternoon tea and cocktails.
High Street Lounge features a chic yet relaxed atmosphere with high ceilings, plush sofas, and smooth jazz music which adds to the elegant yet comfortable setting.
Adding more luxury to the space are the Lasvit chandelier made with 5,000 individual pieces of hand-blown glass and the metalwork by Filipino sculptor Jinggoy Buensuceso which features metal narra, mango and chestnut leaves.

West Afternoon Tea Set
Served on a tiered stand, this English-style afternoon tea comes with an amuse-bouche, a selection of savory tea sandwiches and pastries, with choices of tea or coffee for two persons.
Two servings of Scrambled Truffle Egg topped with Caviar will surely amuse the palate of truffle lovers. The delicate taste of the egg was given a punch with the earthy flavor of truffles with the caviar adding an interesting hint of seafood, as well as a contrasting texture and color. It was indeed a great way to start your afternoon tea.
The amuse-bouche should be immediately followed by the freshly baked Cranberry Scones while they are still warm. The scones are served with Homemade Strawberry and Blueberry Confiture and Double Cream, and paired with Vanilla Creme Brulee topped with Berries.
The assortment of savory tea sandwiches include Smoked Salmon with Lime Cream and Dill, Cucumber with Sour Cream and Chives, and Mozzarella with Pine Nuts Pesto and Tomato.
Finally, a selection of pastries will give a sweet ending to the afternoon affair, including Passion Fruit Macaron, Strawberry Choco Ganache, Pistachio Financier, Baked Lemon Meringue Tartlet, and Chocolate Soul Gold Slice.
East Afternoon Tea Set
Served in a bamboo steamer, the Asian-inspired East Afternoon Tea Set includes an amuse-bouche, a selection of savory and sweet treats, and also comes with a choice of tea or coffee for two persons.
The journey to the east begins with two servings of Pumpkin Cream with Bird Nest and Gold Leaves. The set comes with two pieces of freshly baked Ginger Lemon Scones which are best enjoyed while still warm. Adding more Asian flavor to the scones are the Double Cream and Pineapple Jam.
Now it's time to try the items inside the bamboo steamer starting with the savory treats such as the Crispy Duck Spring Rolls with Plum Sauce, the Baked Char Siu Bun, the Roasted Prawn with Mango-Ginger and topped with Vietnamese Mint, and the Spiced Tuna Maki with Wasabi Lime Cream.
Finally, you can end the afternoon tea with sweet indulgence from around Asia such as the Deep Fried Glutinous Rice Ball with Lotus Paste, the Green Tea Chocolate Opera, the Baked Egg Tarte, and our favorite, the Black Sesame Macaron.
The Afternoon Tea is truly designed to create a unique and memorable dining experience, making High Street Lounge one of the newest dining destinations in the metro. If you are visiting Manila or working within the area, and you're looking for an unforgettable afternoon tea experience, you should definitely visit High Street Lounge at Shangri-La at the Fort.
Cocktails at High Street Lounge
Another pride of High Street Lounge are the signature cocktails created by Shangri-La at the Fort's Head Mixologist, Ulysse Jouanneaud who uses the freshest and locally sourced ingredients for his cocktails. A real genius, he mixes his cocktails with the most unlikely ingredients which result to the most interestingly magnificent drinks we ever tried. During our visit, we were able to sample two of his signature gin cocktails (P400.00/~US$8.00).
First was the High Street Market (left) which is a mix of Hendrick's gin, St. Germain elderflower liqueur, cloudy apple & pineapple, fresh cucumber, and Italian basil. It had a light herby flavor with sweet and refreshing notes from the pineapple. The second one was the Brilliant Cure (right) which is mixture of Citadelle gin infused with pure chamomile, Black Forest honey, Brilliant Breakfast homemade tea syrup, fresh lime, and egg white. It's an aromatic floral drink with which is clean and refreshing to the palate.
