Aside from the welcome drinks which I enjoyed at the lobby, other items in my welcome amenities include a welcome lei, a platter of fresh fruits in season, and selected chocolate pralines. These small touches are what I look forward to whenever I stay in a luxury resort.

The Premier Room is available in two bed configurations: the King Bed configuration and the Queen & Single Beds configuration. Since I was staying alone in my room, I requested a King Bed which gave me extra space to move around the room.

A visit to Boracay is definitely not complete without experiencing the beast white sand beach in the world. As I have already mentioned, staying at the North Wing and the Main Wing will give you easy access to the beach.

If you wish to enjoy Boracay's white beach, you should schedule your visit between September and February when the climate is milder and the beach is super clear, and the waves are calmer.
|

You should avoid the months of March to August when the heat of the sun is much more intense which is the perfect condition for algae to bloom along the beach. It is also during the tropical storm months of July and August when the westerly wind is at its strongest which causes stronger waves along the beach.

Boracay Sunset | White Beach, Boracay Island, Philippines |
One of the highlights of your Boracay trip is witnessing the spectacular sunset from White Beach. Ultimate Relaxation at Kai Spa | Henann Regency Resort & Spa, Boracay
Whenever I travel, I always set aside time to pamper myself with a relaxing massage. During my trip, I indulged with the 90-minute Kai Signature Massage, a combination of different massage techniques especially designed by Kai Spa.
|

I recommend that you book your spa treatment in advance as the Spa is always in high demand especially in the afternoon and evening. Kai Spa's receptionist will be very happy to assist you in choosing the right treatment that you require.

I booked my treatment at 4:00pm but I was told to be at the spa by 3:30pm so that I can avail of the free spa amenities that comes with the treatment package. I had a quick shower at the men's bathroom.
|

I also tried our the jacuzzi where the bubbles and the jet of water already offers relief to the stressed muscles of the back and the legs. I also used the sauna for ten minutes. Sauna is said to soften the skin and helps to remove toxins from the skin.

I took another quick shower and wore a silk robe. I was then assisted by the spa attendant to the lounge and was offered a refreshing drink of iced tea.

In a matter of few minutes, I was fetched by my therapist and was led through the spa's Japanese inspired corridors and into the treatment room.

The treatment room assigned to me was their Filipiniana style room which has beige walls with wooden accents, and a high ceiling supported by ornate beams. Warm lighting ad Filipino interior design elements such as capiz shell windows add an old-world Filipino feel to the ambiance.

My Kai Signature Massage started with a ceremonial washing of my feet using in a basin of warm water with sea salt, foot scrub and flower petals. I could really feel my feet softening, feeling cleansed and relaxed. I was then led to my treatment bed with a ringing of a Tibetan bowl to signal the start of the treatment.
|

Prior to the actually treatment, I was asked to mark on a diagram the areas of my body on which I wish the therapist to focus on. I marked the middle and lower sections of my back, my hands, my legs, and my feet. The therapist started to apply pressure on my back and I instantly felt relief, and in no time, I quickly fell into deep sleep.

The next thing I remember was the therapist waking me up to ask me to turn my body up so she can start treating my arms and my hands. She then work on my leg and foot massage which was very relaxing and relieving. I again fell asleep and I was probably snoring the whole time because I was occasionally getting awaken by my own snore and would quickly fall asleep again. For me, that was a sign that the therapist was really good.
After the massage, the therapist woke me up and I was assisted to the the rooms seating area. There, I was offered by the therapist with ginger tea. I enjoyed every sip of my tea as much as I enjoyed the rejuvenating feeling after my massage.

Walking back towards the men's bathroom, my therapist also gave me a glimpse into the other treatment rooms of Kai Spa. I was impressed to learned that no two treatment rooms are alike. Some treatment rooms are even designed specifically for the type of treatment that a guest would choose.

One treatment room for example is designed for treatments with body scrub. The room also has its own bathtub for the guest to enjoy after the massage. Another treatment room has a Thai-inspired interior and is designed for bigger groups of guests.

Lunch at Christina's | Henann Regency Resort & Spa, Boracay
On my last day in Boracay, I just enjoyed the rest of the morning relaxing in my room. Our flight was scheduled in the afternoon so there was no reason to rush that morning. Before checking-out, we had lunch at Christina's. This time, we ordered from the restaurant's a la carte menu.
|

I ordered the
Surf & Turf which is a dish consisting of a beef tenderloin steak on a bed of mashed potato, plus two pieces of grilled tiger prawns served with buttered vegetables. Of all the restaurants that we tried at Henann Regency, it was Christina's that created a significant impression on me because of the premium quality of the dishes served, the outstanding customer service, and the exclusive feel of the restaurant which set the overall luxury resort experience a notch higher.
|
Suft & Turf at Christina's | Henann Regency Resort & Spa, Boracay |
If you have been following this blog for sometime now, you would have already known that I am not a big fan of Boracay's White Beach, that is in the aspect of accommodation. I find the area too crowded, and most accommodation offer mediocre customer service and amenities. The best ones are either too expensive or ridiculously expensive.
|
Private Speedboat of Henann Regency Resort & Spa, Boracay |
But all of those notions of mine have changed after I experienced Henann Regency Resort & Spa. Domestic tourists in Boracay have no reason to be intimidated by this luxury resort. Henann Regency is in fact one of the most accessible luxury beachfront resorts in Boracay where you really get more value out of your money.
PS: Right after I got back to Manila, my sister checked out the hundreds of photos I took during my stay at Henann Regency. She was immediately convinced to book her first trip to Boracay with her husband (who was also celebrating his birthday that time) and decided to stay at Henann Regency. Thank you Henann for making their first Boracay experience a very memorable one!
