Seda Capitol Central, Bacolod is an urban lifestyle hotel in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental province. The hotel is situated along Lacson Street and right beside the Negros Occidental Provincial Capitol, and enjoys a prime location in the city's commercial and business district. The hotel is also centrally located near Bacolod's famous landmarks and dining destinations.
Upon entering the hotel, guests will be welcomed by the bright interiors of the lobby while the signature Seda Hotels fragrance adds a sense of arrival to the hotel. Portraits of Masskara Festival on the walls give the property a sense of place identity. The plush sofas offer comfort to guests waiting at the lobby while the e-lounge features iMac stations which guests can use to suft the net.
Check-in was straightforward and hassle free. After showing my identification card, my hotel booking was verified and I was asked to sign the guest registration. Seda Capitol Central has a total of 154 well appointed guestrooms and suites offering views of the city and of the Capitol Park and Lagoon.
Deluxe Room
The Deluxe Room is the lead-in room category of Seda Capitol Central. The room measures 25 square meters and is available in a king-bed and twin-bed configurations. For the best view of the city, make sure you request for a room facing the Capitol Park and Lagoon.
It is furnished with an executive desk and an ergonomic rolling chair. Next to the table is a media panel with HDMI, USB and Audio-Video connectivity. Power outlets also has universal sockets. Complimentary WiFi is available inside the room and in common areas of the hotel.
The room is also equipped with a 40-inch HD television with local and international cable channels. There's a minibar stocked with canned and bottled drinks. Coffee and tea-making facilities are also provided in the room, including complimentary instant coffee, tea bags and bottled water. The room has an open shelf cabinet where guests can store or hang their clothes.
What I like the most about the room, which is a consistent feature in Seda Hotels, is the bed. Whether I am on business trip or on vacation, sleep is very important for me, and here at Seda Capitol Central, you always feel recharged and well rested when you wake up in the morning. Thanks to the very comfortable bed and the fluffy pillows that guarantee an uninterrupted sleep.
For a 25 square meter room, I was impressed by how spacious the bathroom is. The marble counter-top has more than enough space for your personal toiletries. Water pressure was constantly strong and hot water is available anytime of the day or night. Towels smell clean and fresh.
Guests are provided with two sets of bath robes and bedroom slippers. I recommend that you leave your outdoor shoes or slippers next to the closet and switch to the bedroom slippers when inside the room. This way, you can keep outside dirt from spreading inside the room. Eco Bliss bath amenities are also provided, including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap and lotion.
Misto Restaurant
Misto Restaurant is the signature all-day dining restaurant of Seda Hotels which serves local and international cuisines and is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. During our stay, we were able to sample the Boneless Chicken Inasal, the hotel's version of the iconic Bacolod delicacy.
A whole chicken was de-boned and stuffed with herbs and spices, marinated and finally cooked to perfection. The meat was very tender and juicy. Although the skin was charred, the texture remained soft and silky. It was served with java rice and is good for three to four persons to share.
Straight Up
Straight Up is the signature rooftop bar or Seda Hotels. The Straight Up bar here at Seda Capitol Central is definitely the best spot for a sundowner in Bacolod. There is no better way to end the day but with cocktails or ice cold beer plus stunning sunset views. Happy Hour is from 5:00pm to 8:00pm daily. If you are staying over the weekend, make sure to catch guest DJs spin some live chillout and urban beats to help you unwind over great drinks and bar chow.
Breakfast Buffet
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day so whether you are a business traveler or visiting Bacolod on a holiday, always make sure to set aside time in the morning to fuel your body with a fulfilling breakfast.
Guests who booked a room package which includes breakfast can enjoy the buffet breakfast served at Misto Restaurant. Choices include local and regional Filipino dishes as well as a variety of Asia and Western dishes. Free-flowing coffee and tea, as well as fruit juices are also included in the buffet. Walk-in guests are also welcome to dine for breakfast.
Fitness & Wellness Facilities
Seda Capitol Central has an in-house gym which is open 24 hours daily. Guests can enjoy the state-of-art cardio machines and weight training equipment. You just need your room key card to access the gym.
A great way to cool down during the hot months is to enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool. You can also do laps in the morning, the time of the day when the pool is not too busy. Swimming is also a fun activity for families doing a weekend staycation at the hotel. There are sun loungers for guests who wish to have a tan.
