Misto Restaurant at Seda Residences Makati
Misto Restaurant is the all-day dining restaurant of Seda Residences Makati. The restaurant serves local Filipino and international cuisines for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Misto is also the breakfast venue for guests who booked a breakfast-inclusive package at Seda Residences Makati.
We ate exclusively at Misto Restaurant during our recent stay at Seda Residences Makati. My favorite section of the restaurant's menu is the Seda Signatures which highlights the signature dishes of all Seda properties around the Philippines. It is like traveling around the country through food.
For lunch, I ordered the Grilled Chicken Inasal which is a specialty chicken dish in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental province. The dish is served with a cup of steamed rice and atchara (pickled vegetables) on the side. For families or groups of friends, you can order the whole chicken version Boneless Chicken Inasal. This is the signature dish of Seda Capitol Central in Bacolod City.
For dinner, we ordered the signature dish of Seda BGC, the Crispy Tadyang. The dish is made of marinated beef ribs which have been deep-fried until crispy. The dish is then served with garlic rice and atchara (pickled vegetables) on the side. The ribs go well with the soy dipping sauce with squeezed calamansi juice and fresh chili.
We also ordered the Chicken and Pork Adobo, the signature dish of Seda Vertis North in Quezon City. This dish is perhaps the most iconic Filipino food known around the world and is a must-try for all foreign and even local guests staying at Seda Residences Makati. The dish is made of chicken and pork braised in soy sauce and vinegar. It is served with garlic rice, hard-boiled egg and atchara (pickled vegetables) on the side.
► BREAKFAST BUFFET AT MISTO, SEDA RESIDENCES MAKATI
Guests who booked a breakfast-inclusive rate at Seda Residences Makati can enjoy the daily buffet breakfast at Misto Restaurant during their stay. The breakfast buffet spread includes continental breakfast items such as bread and pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, salads, fruits, cereals, and yogurt.
The breakfast buffet spread also includes a variety of Filipino, Asian and Western hot dishes. There's also congee, pancakes, and a live-cooking station where guests can order egg dishes and omelets. Free-flowing coffee, cappuccino, latte, tea, and chilled fruit juices are also included in the buffet.
A great way to start the morning is to have something to warm your tummy. My personal favorite is rice porridge. During our stay, they served Arroz Caldo which is a Filipino rice porridge in chicken stock. It is traditionally sprinkled with chopped spring onions and toasted garlic. A freshly squeezed calamansi juice will bring out all the savory taste of the dish.
Here is a plate of steamed rice with chicken curry, fish stew, buttered broccoli, and scrambled eggs. Other dishes available were pork tocino, beef tapa, fried danggit, bacon, and sausage.
Here's another plate with garden salad, pesto pasta, Foccacia bread, and omelet. The egg station is located at the alfresco area of the restaurant. Just tell the chef the ingredients you want in your omelet and it should be ready in about five minutes.
I ended my breakfast with fresh fruits. The pineapple and the honeydew were sweet and juicy, but it was the watermelon that was the sweetest and juiciest. There were four chilled fruit juices available, and my personal favorite was the guava juice.
